कृते विवाहे तु तदा धर्मपुत्रो युधिष्ठिर: । ब्राह्मणेभ्यो ददौ वित्तं यदुपाहरदच्युत:,विवाह सम्पन्न हो जानेपर धर्मपुत्र युधिष्ठिरने भगवान् श्रीकृष्णसे जो धन मिला था, उसमेंसे बहुत कुछ ब्राह्मणोंको दान किया
kṛte vivāhe tu tadā dharmaputro yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | brāhmaṇebhyo dadau vittaṃ yad upāharad acyutaḥ ||
Als die Hochzeit ordnungsgemäß vollzogen war, verteilte Dharmaputra Yudhiṣṭhira unter die Brahmanen einen großzügigen Teil des Reichtums, den Acyuta (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) herbeigebracht hatte.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic kingship: after completing a major rite (marriage), Yudhiṣṭhira treats wealth as a trust to be shared, honoring Brahmins through dāna and reinforcing social-religious obligations rather than personal accumulation.
After the wedding is concluded, Vaiśampāyana narrates that Yudhiṣṭhira distributes to Brahmins a substantial part of the wealth that Kṛṣṇa (Acyuta) had brought, marking the celebration with generosity and ritual propriety.
