Identification of the Pāṇḍavas in Virāṭa’s Court
Victory should be purposeful and restrained: once the rightful aim (recovering the cattle and securing safety) is achieved and the enemy has withdrawn, one should stop further aggression and return in orderly, responsible conduct.
After the Kauravas flee, Arjuna—still incognito in Virāṭa’s service—tells Prince Uttara to turn the chariot horses back and return to the city, since the cattle have been recovered and the danger has passed.
