प्रगृह्य कार्मुकश्रेष्ठ जातरूपपरिष्कृतम्‌ । शरानादाय तीक्ष्णाग्रान्‌ मर्मभेदान्‌ प्रमाथिन:,उन्होंने हाथमें सुवर्णभूषित श्रेष्ठ धनुष और शत्रुओंको मथ डालनेवाले तीखे एवं मर्मभेदी बाण ले रखे थे

pragṛhya kārmukaśreṣṭhaṃ jātarūpapariṣkṛtam | śarān ādāya tīkṣṇāgrān marmabhedān pramāthinaḥ ||

Er ergriff den vorzüglichsten Bogen, mit Gold geschmückt und veredelt, und nahm scharfspitzige Pfeile zur Hand, die die Lebenspunkte durchbohren und den Feind zermalmen konnten.
