Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)
तेषां समिध्य तानग्नीन् मन्त्रवच्च जुहाव सः । समृद्धिवृद्धिलाभाय पृथिवीविजयाय च,पाण्डवोंकी अग्निहोत्रसम्बन्धी अग्निको प्रज्वलित करके उन्होंने उनकी समृद्धि, वृद्धि, राज्यलाभ तथा पृथ्वीपर विजय-प्राप्तिके लिये वेदमन्त्र पढ़कर होम किया
teṣāṁ samidhya tān agnīn mantravac ca juhāva saḥ | samṛddhi-vṛddhi-lābhāya pṛthivī-vijayāya ca ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Nachdem er für sie jene heiligen Feuer entzündet hatte, brachte er unter vedischen Mantras Opfergaben dar, um ihr Gedeihen und Wachstum zu erbitten, den Gewinn rechtmäßiger Herrschaft und den Sieg über die Erde. So wird Erfolg nicht als bloße Gewalt verstanden, sondern als Frucht disziplinierter Riten, rechtmäßigen Strebens und ehrfürchtiger Einfügung in die heilige Ordnung.
