Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 22 — Draupadī’s Abduction Attempt and Bhīma’s Suppression of the Kīcakas

रूपलावण्ययुक्ताभियुवतीभिरलंकृतम्‌ । गृहं चान्त:पुरं सुभ्रु क्रीडारतिविराजितम्‌ । तत्‌ सर्व त्वां समुद्दिश्य सहसाहमुपागत:,'सुभ्रु! मैंने अनेक प्रकारका जो अनन्त धन संचित किया है, वह सब तुम्हें भेंट कर दिया तथा मेरा जो धन-रत्नादिसे सम्पन्न, सैकड़ों दासी आदि उपकरणोंसे युक्त, रूप- लावण्यवती युवतियोंसे अलंकृत तथा क्रीडा-विलाससे सुशोभित गृह एवं अन्तःपुर है, वह सब तुम्हारे लिये ही निछावर करके मैं सहसा तुम्हारे पास चला आया हूँ

vaiśampāyana uvāca | rūpa-lāvaṇya-yuktābhiḥ yuvatībhiḥ alaṅkṛtam | gṛhaṃ ca antaḥpuraṃ subhru krīḍā-rati-virājitam | tat sarvaṃ tvāṃ samuddiśya sahasāham upāgataḥ |

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „O du Schönbrauige, ich bin sogleich zu dir gekommen und habe dir alles geweiht—mein Haus und die inneren Gemächer, geschmückt mit jungen Frauen voll Schönheit und Anmut und glänzend von Spiel und Lust.“
