Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 22 — Draupadī’s Abduction Attempt and Bhīma’s Suppression of the Kīcakas
कृतसम्प्रत्ययस्तस्या: कीचक: काममोहित: । नाजानाद दिवसं यान्तं चिन्तयान: समागमम्,काममोहित कीचकने द्रौपदीकी बातपर पूरा विश्वास कर लिया था; अतः उसके समागम-सुखका चिन्तन करते-करते उसे यह भी पता न चला कि दिन कब बीत गया
kṛtasampratyayas tasyāḥ kīcakaḥ kāmamohitaḥ | nājānād divasaṁ yāntaṁ cintayānaḥ samāgamam ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Von Begierde geblendet, schenkte Kīcaka ihren Worten vollen Glauben. In Gedanken an die Wonne des Zusammenseins versunken, bemerkte er nicht einmal, wie der Tag verging — sein Geist war Gefangener von Verlangen und Verblendung.
