त्वामृते न हि लोकेडन्य एकाह्वा पृथिवीपते । समर्थो योजनशतं गन्तुम श्वैर्नराधिप,नरेश्वर! पृथ्वीनाथ! मैं यह अच्छी तरह जानती हूँ कि इस जगत्‌में आपके सिवा दूसरा कोई ऐसा पुरुष नहीं है, जो एक ही दिनमें घोड़े जुते हुए रथकी सवारीसे सौ योजन दूरतक जानेमें समर्थ हो

tvām ṛte na hi loke ’nya ekaḥ vā pṛthivīpate | samartho yojanaśataṁ gantuṁ aśvaiḥ narādhipa ||

Bṛhadaśvā sprach: „Außer dir, o Herr der Erde, gibt es in dieser Welt keinen einzigen Mann, der vermöchte, an einem Tag hundert Yojanas zurückzulegen, auf einem von Pferden gezogenen Wagen. Das weiß ich wohl.“
