दमयन्त्याः अरण्यविहारः — Damayantī’s Passage through the Wilderness

स चिन्तयामास तदा निषधाधिपतिर्बली । अस्ति भक्ष्यो ममाद्यायं वसु चेदं भविष्यति,उन्हें देखकर (क्षुधातुर और आपत्तिग्रस्त होनेके कारण) बलवान् निषधनरेशके मनमें यह बात आयी कि “यह पक्षियोंका समुदाय ही आज मेरा भक्ष्य हो सकता है और इनकी ये पाँखें मेरे लिये धन हो जायँगी”
Translation
Da dachte der mächtige Herrscher von Niṣadha: „Heute kann dieser Vogelschwarm meine Speise sein, und ihre Flügel werden mir zu Reichtum werden.“
