यदा च मन्यसे वीर सर्वशत्रुनिबर्हणम् । तदा निर्गच्छ भद्रं ते हुनुशाधि च मामिति,“वीरवर! जब तुम्हें विश्वास है कि तुम्हारे द्वारा सब शत्रुओंका संहार हो सकता है तब तुम दिग्विजयके लिये यात्रा करो। तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। मुझे आवश्यक व्यवस्थाके लिये आज्ञा दो
yadā ca manyase vīra sarvaśatrunibarhaṇam | tadā nirgaccha bhadraṁ te hūnuśādhi ca mām iti ||
Duryodhana sprach: „O Held, sobald du gewiss bist, dass du alle Feinde zerschmettern kannst, dann brich zu deinem Eroberungszug auf. Heil sei mit dir. Und befehle auch mir, damit ich die nötigen Vorbereitungen treffe.“
