एवमुक्तस्तदा कर्णो धार्तराष्ट्रेण धीमता । सर्वमाज्ञापयामास प्रायात्रिकमरिंदम,जनमेजय! बुद्धिमान् दुर्योधनके इस प्रकार कहनेपर कर्णने यात्रासम्बन्धी सारी आवश्यक तैयारीके लिये आज्ञा दे दी
evam uktas tadā karṇo dhārtarāṣṭreṇa dhīmatā | sarvam ājñāpayāmāsa prāyātrikam ariṃdama janamejaya |
So angesprochen von dem weisen Dhārtarāṣṭra (Duryodhana), erteilte Karṇa—der Feindzermalmer—sogleich Befehle zu allen Vorbereitungen, die für die bevorstehende Reise nötig waren, und zeigte damit rasche Loyalität und Tatbereitschaft zugunsten seines Verbündeten.
