पञ्चमहाभूतगुण-इन्द्रियनिग्रह-उपदेशः | Teaching on the Qualities of the Five Elements and Sense-Control
मार्कण्डेय उवाच एवं स छन््द्यमानस्तु वरेण हरिणा तदा
Mārkaṇḍeya uvāca: evaṃ sa chandyamānas tu vareṇa hariṇā tadā
Mārkaṇḍeya sprach: „So geschah es damals: Er — angetrieben und betört von der vom Hirsch angebotenen Gabe — wurde nach vorn gezogen; sein Entschluss nahm Gestalt an unter dem Lockruf der verheißenen Belohnung.“
