अध्याय १९० — वामदेव-वाम्य-वृत्तान्तः
The Vāmadeva Horses Episode and the Ethics of Promise
आखयातस्ते मया चात्मा दुर्जेयो हि सुरासुरै:,ब्रह्मर्ष! इस प्रकार मैंने तुम्हें अपने स्वरूपका उपदेश किया है, जिसका जानना देवता और असुरोंके लिये भी कठिन है। जबतक महातपस्वी भगवान् ब्रह्माका जागरण न हो, तबतक तुम श्रद्धा और विश्वासपूर्वक सुखसे विचरते रहो
ākhyātaste mayā cātmā durjeyo hi surāsuraiḥ, brahmarṣe |
Die Gottheit sprach: „Nun habe ich dir mein wahres Wesen kundgetan. Wahrlich, es ist schwer zu begreifen—selbst für Götter und Asuras. Darum, o brahmarṣi, bis der große Asket, der Herr Brahmā, erwacht, sollst du unbesorgt umhergehen, getragen von Glauben und Vertrauen.“
