Kāmyaka Forest Meeting: Kṛṣṇa’s Visit; Mārkaṇḍeya and Nārada Arrive
नहुषो नाम राजर्षिव््यक्ते ते श्रोत्रमागत:ः तवैव पूर्व: पूर्वेषामायोरवशधर: सुतः,“मैं राजर्षि नहुष हूँ, अवश्य ही यह मेरा नाम तुम्हारे कानोंमें पड़ा होगा। मैं तुम्हारे पूर्वजोंका भी पूर्वज हूँ। महाराज आयुका वंशप्रवर्तक पुत्र हूँ
nahuṣo nāma rājarṣir vyakte te śrotram āgataḥ | tavaiva pūrvaḥ pūrveṣām āyor vaṃśadharaḥ sutaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: «Ich bin der königliche Weise namens Nahuṣa; gewiss ist mein Name an dein Ohr gelangt. Ich bin ein Ahnherr deiner Ahnen—geboren in der Linie König Āyus, Träger und Fortführer jener Dynastie.»
