Kailāsa-darśana, Badarī-vāsa, and Sarasvatī–Dvaitavana Transition (कैलासदर्शन–बदरीवास–सरस्वतीद्वैतवनगमनम्)
: सहित: श्रीमान् साधु साध्वित्यथाब्रवीत् (परिष्वज्य च मां प्रेम्णा मूर्ध्नि चाप्राय सस्मितम् ।) ततो मां देवराजो वै समाश्वास्य पुन: पुन:,हिरण्यपुरका विध्वंस, दानवी मायाका निवारण तथा महाबलवान् निवातकवचोंका युद्धमें वध सुनकर मरुत् आदि देवताओंसहित भगवान् सहस्नलोचन इन्द्र अत्यन्त प्रसन्न हो मुझे साधुवाद देने लगे और मुझे प्रेम पूर्वक हृदयसे लगाकर मुसकराते हुए मेरा मस्तक सूँघा। तत्पश्चात् देवराजने बार-बार मुझे सान्त्वना देते हुए देवताओंके साथ यह मधुर वचन कहा--'पार्थ! तुमने युद्धमें वह कार्य किया है, जो देवताओं और असुरोंके लिये भी असम्भव है
sahitaḥ śrīmān sādhu sādhv ity athābravīt (pariṣvajya ca māṃ premṇā mūrdhni cāprāya sasmitaṃ) tato māṃ devarājo vai samāśvāsya punaḥ punaḥ
Dann rief der ruhmreiche Herr der Götter, von den übrigen Gottheiten begleitet: „Wohlgetan! Wohlgetan!“ Und indem er mich liebevoll umarmte, lächelnd, roch er sanft an meinem Scheitel als Zeichen inniger Billigung. Danach tröstete und bestärkte mich der König der Götter immer wieder mit süßen Worten und pries die Tat, die ich in der Schlacht vollbracht hatte, als etwas, das selbst die Reichweite von Göttern und Dämonen übersteigt. Die Stelle hebt hervor, dass außergewöhnliche Tapferkeit, wenn sie mit einer gerechten Sache im Einklang steht und mit Standhaftigkeit ausgeübt wird, nicht bloß als Stärke geehrt wird, sondern als dharmische Vortrefflichkeit, die Segen und Zuspruch verdient.
