Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain
तदेकायनमासाद्य विषमं भीमदर्शनम् | बहुतालोच्छूयं शूद्धमारुरोह महाबल:,वह पर्वत ऊँची-नीची भूमियोंसे युक्त और देखनेमें भयंकर था। उसकी ऊँचाई कई ताड़ोंके बराबर थी और उसपर चढ़नेके लिये एक ही मार्ग था, तो भी महाबली भीमसेन उसके शिखरपर चढ़ गये
tad ekāyanam āsādya viṣamaṃ bhīmadarśanam | bahutālocchūyaṃ śuddham āruroha mahābalaḥ ||
Als er den einzigen, schmalen Zugang erreicht hatte, erklomm Bhīma, von gewaltiger Kraft, die steile, furchterregende Höhe. Der Berg war uneben und schrecklich anzusehen, ragte so hoch wie viele Palmen; und obgleich nur ein einziger beschwerlicher Pfad hinaufführte, stieg Bhīmasena bis zum Gipfel empor und verkörperte unbeugsamen Mut angesichts der Gefahr.
