आरुज्यारुज्य तौ वृक्षानन्योन्यमभिजषघ्नतु: । जीमूताविव गर्जन्तौ निनदन्तौ महाबलौ,दोनोंका बल महान् था। वे गर्जते हुए दो मेघोंकी भाँति सिंहनाद करके वृक्षोंकों तोड़- तोड़कर परस्पर चोट करते थे
ārūjyārūjya tau vṛkṣān anyonyam abhijaṣaghnatuḥ | jīmūtāv iva garjantau ninadantau mahābalau ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Mit gewaltiger Kraft brachen die beiden immer wieder Bäume ab und schlugen einander damit. Brüllend und dröhnend wie zwei Gewitterwolken erfüllten sie den Wald mit Kriegsgeschrei, während sie Schläge tauschten.
