The Birth and Career Account of Māndhātṛ

निश्चक्राम महातेजा न च तं मृत्युराविशत्‌ । युवनाश्वचं नरपतिं तदद्भुतमिवाभवत्‌,तदनन्तर पूरे सौ वर्ष बीतनेपर उन महात्मा राजा युवनाश्वकी बायीं कोख फाड़कर एक सूर्यके समान महातेजस्वी बालक बाहर निकला तथा राजाकी मृत्यु भी नहीं हुई। यह एक अद्भुत-सी बात हुई

niścakrāma mahātejā na ca taṁ mṛtyur āviśat | yuvanāśvaṁ ca narapatiṁ tad adbhutam ivābhavat ||

Lomaśa sprach: „Ein Kind von großer Strahlkraft trat hervor, und der Tod ergriff es nicht. Für König Yuvanāśva, den Herrn der Menschen, erschien dies wie ein Wunder.“
