Dvārakāyāṃ Sāhāyya-vibhāgaḥ (Alliance Allocation at Dvārakā) /

Educational Q&A

Even amid urgent political necessity, dharma expresses itself through restraint, proper conduct, and the priority of seeking wise guidance. The verse sets up an ethical contrast: the coming decision will reveal whether one values Kṛṣṇa’s counsel and righteousness or merely military strength.

Arjuna and Duryodhana reach Dvārakā and find Kṛṣṇa asleep. They approach him, initiating the famous episode in which each seeks Kṛṣṇa’s support for the impending war.
