Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
तत् करिष्ये कुरुक्षेत्रे योत्स्ये विप्र त्वया सह । डन्ड्े राम यथेष्टं मे सज्जीभव महाद्युते,“आप उस समय मेरे बाहुबल और अलौकिक पराक्रमको देखियेगा। भृगुनन्दन! ऐसी स्थितिमें भी मैं जो कुछ कर सकता हूँ, उसे अवश्य करूँगा। विप्रवर! मैं कुरुक्षेत्रमें चलकर आपके साथ युद्ध करूँगा। महातेजस्वी राम! आप द्वब्द्ययुद्धके लिये इच्छानुसार तैयारी कर लीजिये
tat kariṣye kuru-kṣetre yotsye vipra tvayā saha | daṇḍe rāma yatheṣṭaṁ me sajjībhava mahādyute ||
„So sei es — ich werde es tun. Auf dem Feld von Kurukṣetra werde ich mit dir kämpfen, o Brahmane. O Rāma von großem Glanz, nimm deinen Stab und bereite dich, wie du willst, auf das Duell vor. Dann wirst du die Kraft meiner Arme und meinen außergewöhnlichen Heldenmut sehen; selbst in solcher Lage werde ich gewiss alles tun, was in meiner Macht steht.“
