Amba approaches the Paraśurāma context; Hotravāhana’s counsel and Akṛtavraṇa’s report (अम्बोपाख्यानम्—रामदर्शनप्रसङ्गः)
होत्रवाहन उवाच राम॑ द्रक्ष्यसि भद्रे त्वं जामदग्न्यं महावने । उग्रे तपसि वर्तन्तं सत्यसंधं महाबलम्,होत्रवाहन बोले--भद्रे! जमदग्निनन्दन परशुराम एक महान् वनमें उग्र तपस्या कर रहे हैं। वे महान् शक्तिशाली और सत्यप्रतिज्ञ हैं। तुझे अवश्य ही उनका दर्शन प्राप्त होगा
Hotravāhana uvāca: Rāma drakṣyasi bhadre tvaṃ Jāmadagnyaṃ mahāvane | ugre tapasi vartantaṃ satyasaṃdhaṃ mahābalam ||
Hotravāhana sprach: „O glückverheißende Frau, du wirst Rāma Jāmadagnya (Paraśurāma) gewiss im großen Wald erblicken. Er weilt in strenger Askese—gewaltig an Kraft und unerschütterlich an die Wahrheit gebunden. Du wirst sicher seine Audienz erlangen.“
होत्रवाहन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical ideal of satyasaṃdha—steadfast commitment to truth and vows—supported by disciplined tapas. Moral authority is presented as arising from inner restraint and fidelity to truth, not merely from power.
Hotravāhana informs an addressed woman (“bhadre”) that she will meet Paraśurāma (Rāma Jāmadagnya) in a great forest, where he is performing intense austerities, and describes his qualities—great strength and unwavering truthfulness.
