अतः: पर प्रवक्ष्यामि यानि देयानि भारते । वाच्यमाने तु विप्रेभ्यो राजन्‌ पर्वणि पर्वणि

Transliteration

ataḥ paraṁ pravakṣyāmi yāni deyāni bhārate | vācyamāne tu viprebhyo rājan parvaṇi parvaṇi ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Nun will ich weiter darlegen, welche Gaben im Bhārata (Mahābhārata) zu geben sind. O König, während die Erzählung den Brahmanen vorgetragen wird, soll man in jedem einzelnen Parvan die angemessenen Spenden darbringen.“
