उतथ्योपदेशः—राजधर्मः, दर्पनिग्रहः, प्रजारक्षणम्
Utathya’s Instruction: Royal Dharma, Restraint of Pride, Protection of Subjects
उभौ लोकावभिप्रेक्ष्य राजानमृषय: स्वयम् । असृजन् सुमहद् भूतमयं धर्मो भविष्यति
ubhau lokāv abhiprekṣya rājānam ṛṣayaḥ svayam | asṛjan sumahad bhūtamayaṃ dharmo bhaviṣyati ||
Mit Blick auf beide Welten—dieses Leben und das Jenseits—brachten die Weisen selbst den König hervor, ein überaus mächtiges Wesen in menschlicher Gestalt. Sie wollten, dass er Dharma in sichtbarer Gestalt sei: ein Herrscher, dessen Macht ethisch gelenkt ist, der hier die Ordnung wahrt und dort das Wohl sichert.
