Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel
„Wer dich wahrhaft erkennt, erkennt auch mich; wer dir folgt, folgt auch mir. Zwischen uns beiden besteht keinerlei Unterschied — lass keinen gegenteiligen Gedanken in deinem Geist aufkommen.“
The verse teaches abheda (non-difference): true knowledge and devotion directed to one divine form is not separate from knowledge and devotion to the other; therefore, sectarian or divisive thinking should not arise.
A speaker asserts complete unity between two revered divine figures, stating that knowing or following one is equivalent to knowing or following the other, and instructs the listener not to entertain any contrary idea.
