Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel

Educational Q&A

The passage highlights that spiritual discipline and mantra-power, when governed by dharma, can be applied decisively to restrain or remove destructive forces; power is portrayed as legitimate when aligned with the protection of order rather than personal rage.

Nara, seeking to destroy Rudraka, draws out a small spike, consecrates it with mantras, and throws it; through that consecration it transforms into a massive axe (paraśu), indicating a miraculous weapon-manifestation.
