धर्मस्य बहुद्वारत्वम् — Nārada’s Audience with Indra (Śānti-parva 340)

इमे हानिन्द्रियाहारा मद्धक्ता श्चन्द्रवर्चस: | एकाग्राश्निन्तयेयुर्मा नैषां विघ्नो भवेदिति,'ये इन्द्रिय और आहारसे शून्य, चन्द्रमाके समान कान्तिमान्‌ मेरे भक्तजन एकाग्रभावसे मेरा चिन्तन कर सकें और इनके ध्यानमें किसी प्रकारका विघ्न न हो, इसके लिये तुम्हें यहाँसे चले जाना चाहिये

ime hānindriyāhārā madbhaktāś candravarcasaḥ | ekāgrāś cintayeyur mā naiṣāṁ vighno bhaved iti ||

Bhishma sprach: „Diese meine Verehrer — frei von den Forderungen der Sinne und von der Abhängigkeit von Nahrung, strahlend wie der Mond — sollen mich in einpünktiger Sammlung betrachten können. Damit in ihrer Meditation kein Hindernis entstehe, sollst du diesen Ort verlassen.“
