न किंचिदपि पश्यामो हतचक्षुर्बलेन्द्रिया: । “भगवान्के उस अनिर्वचनीय तेजने हमारे चित्तको सहसा खींच लिया था; परंतु हमारे नेत्र, बल और इन्द्रियाँ प्रतिहत हो गयी थीं, इसलिये हम स्पष्ट रूपसे कुछ देख नहीं पाते थे
na kiñcid api paśyāmo hata-cakṣur balendriyāḥ |
Bhīṣma sprach: „Wir konnten überhaupt nichts sehen. Unsere Augen waren wie geblendet, und Kraft wie Sinne wurden überwältigt; daher vermochten wir, obwohl die unaussprechliche Ausstrahlung des Herrn unseren Geist plötzlich an sich zog, nichts deutlich wahrzunehmen.“
