नारद उवाच यदर्थमात्रप्रभवेण जन्म कृतं॑ त्वया धर्मगृहे चतुर्धा । तत्‌ साध्यतां लोकहितार्थमद्य गच्छामि द्र॒ष्ठ प्रकृतिं तवाद्याम्‌

Transliteration

nārada uvāca | yad-artha-mātra-prabhaveṇa janma kṛtaṁ tvayā dharma-gṛhe caturdhā | tat sādhyatāṁ loka-hitārtham adya gacchāmi draṣṭuṁ prakṛtiṁ tavādyām |

Translation

Nārada sprach: „O Herr, du bist der Ursprung, aus dem alles hervorgeht. Um eines bestimmten Zweckes willen hast du im Hause der Dharma in vier Gestalten Geburt angenommen; möge dieser Zweck heute zum Wohle der Welten vollendet werden. Nun gehe ich, deine uranfängliche Gestalt zu schauen (auf Śvetadvīpa).“
