पितृयज्ञे नारायणतत्त्वम् — The Nārāyaṇa Grounding of Ancestral Offerings

धारयामास चात्मानं यथाशास्त्रं यथाविधि । पादप्रभृतिगात्रेषु क्रमेण क्रमयोगवित्‌

dhārayāmāsa cātmānaṃ yathāśāstraṃ yathāvidhi | pādaprabhr̥tigātreṣu krameṇa kramayogavit ||

Bhishma sprach: Gemäß den Śāstras und der vorgeschriebenen Disziplin festigte er sein inneres Selbst. Bei den Füßen beginnend und Glied um Glied in rechter Reihenfolge fortschreitend, verankerte er sein Gewahrsein im ganzen Körper—denn er kannte die stufenweise Methode yogischer Konzentration vollkommen.
