Adhyāya 325: Nārada in Śvetadvīpa—Stotra to the Nirguṇa Mahātman

मेरोह॑रिश्व द्वे वर्षे वर्ष हैमवतं तत: । क्रमेणैवं व्यतिक्रम्प भारतं वर्षमासदत्‌

merohariśva dve varṣe varṣa haimavataṁ tataḥ | krameṇaivaṁ vyatikramp bhārataṁ varṣam āsadat ||

Bhishma sprach: „Von dort aus überschritten sie der Reihe nach die Regionen Meru (Ilāvṛta), Hari-varṣa und dann das schneebedeckte Land Haimavata (Kimpuruṣa) und erreichten schließlich Bhārata-varṣa. Unterwegs mussten sie viele Berge, Flüsse, heilige Furten und Seen passieren; auch durchquerten sie Wälder, die von Schlangen und wilden Tieren wimmelten. Nachdem sie diese Hindernisse Schritt für Schritt überwunden hatten, gelangten sie in das Land Bhārata.“
