रणभूमिवर्णनम् — Devāsuropama-yuddha and the ‘River’ Metaphor of the Battlefield
अभ्ययु: कौरवान् राजन् योत्स्यमाना: समन्ततः । राजन! इसी प्रकार उस महासमरमें पाण्डव भी अपनी सेनाका व्यूह बनाकर सब ओरसे युद्धके लिये उद्यत हो कौरवोंपर चढ़ आये
abhyayuḥ kauravān rājan yotsyamānāḥ samantataḥ |
Sañjaya sagte: „O König, die Kauravas rückten von allen Seiten vor, begierig zu kämpfen. Ebenso stürmten inmitten jener großen Schlacht auch die Pāṇḍavas, nachdem sie ihr Heer in Schlachtordnung aufgestellt hatten, aus allen Richtungen auf die Kauravas zu, zum Kampf völlig bereit.“
