Duryodhana’s Post-Duel Lament and Instructions (भग्नसक्थस्य विलापः)

तत्त्वतो वै समाचक्ष्व सर्वमध्वर्युसत्तम । यच्चात्र कारणं ब्रद्मन्‌ कार्यस्यास्य विनिश्चये,यजुर्वेदीय दिद्वानोंमें श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणदेव! इस कार्यका निश्चय करनेमें जो भी कारण हो, वह सब यथार्थरूपसे मुझे बताइये

tattvato vai samācakṣva sarvam adhvaryusattama | yac cātra kāraṇaṃ brahman kāryasyāsya viniścaye ||

Janamejaya sprach: „O bester der Opferpriester, berichte mir alles genau so, wie es in Wahrheit ist. Und, o Brahmane, erläutere auch, welche Gründe hier bei der endgültigen Entscheidung in dieser Angelegenheit maßgeblich sind.“
