विधिं च योगस्य परं कार्याकार्यस्य शास्त्रत: | संन्‍न्यासकृतबुद्धि त॑ ततो दृष्टवा महातपा:

vidhiṁ ca yogasya paraṁ kāryākāryasya śāstrataḥ | saṁnyāsakṛtabuddhiṁ taṁ tato dṛṣṭvā mahātapāḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Nachdem er kraft der Autorität der Schriften die höchste Ordnung des Yoga und die wahre Regel erkannt hatte, um zu unterscheiden, was zu tun und was zu lassen ist, schaute der große Asket ihn an—und sah einen Geist, der durch Entsagung (saṃnyāsa) gefestigt war.
