Sārasvata–Dadhīca Upākhyāna at Sarasvatī Tīrtha
Balarāma’s Pilgrimage Context
The verse highlights deference to spiritually accomplished beings (Siddhas) and the virtue of acting in an orderly, disciplined manner—Devala follows their words and proceeds step by step rather than rashly.
After hearing the Siddhas’ statement, the sage Devala begins his return journey, descending through the various realms in sequence until he comes down to the lower world.
