ततो<ब्रवीन्महादेव: पचस्वैतानि सुव्रते,“तब महादेवजीने कहा--'सुव्रते! इन बेरोंको पका दो।” उनके इस प्रकार आदेश देनेपर यशस्विनी अरुन्धतीने ब्राह्मणका प्रिय करनेकी इच्छासे उन बेरोंको प्रज्वलित अग्निपर रखकर पकाना आरम्भ किया

Transliteration

tato 'bravīn mahādevaḥ pacasvaitāni suvrate |

Translation

Da sprach Mahādeva: „O Tugendsame, koche diese Früchte.“ Auf seinen Befehl hin legte die ruhmreiche Arundhatī—im Wunsch, dem Brāhmaṇa zu gefallen—die Jujuben auf das entfachte Feuer und begann, sie zu rösten.
