Varuṇābhiṣeka–Agni-anveṣaṇa–Kaubera-tīrtha

Varuṇa’s Consecration; Search for Agni; Kaubera Sacred Site

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how true spiritual authority is recognized through signs of purity and collective reverence: when the atmosphere becomes sanctified and the wise praise, it indicates the presence of a higher dharmic principle beyond battlefield power.

A divine, fragrant wind arises and celestial beings (Gandharvas) along with ritual-focused seers begin praising a revered figure. Observers identify him as Sanatkumāra, the primordial sage born of Brahmā, signaling a moment of divine manifestation or recognition within the Shalya Parva episode.
