कार्त्तिकेयाभिषेकः — Consecration of Kārttikeya and the Enumeration of His Retinue

ततः स भगवान्‌ धीमान्‌ सर्वलोकपितामह: । मनसा चिन्तयामास किमयं लभतामिति,तदनन्तर सर्वलोकपितामह बुद्धिमान्‌ भगवान्‌ ब्रह्माने मन-ही-मन चिन्तन किया कि “यह बालक कौन-सा आधिपत्य ग्रहण करे”

tataḥ sa bhagavān dhīmān sarvalokapitāmahaḥ | manasā cintayāmāsa kim ayaṁ labhatām iti ||

Daraufhin sann der gesegnete, weise Großvater aller Welten (Brahmā) in seinem Innern nach: „Welche Herrschaft, welches Oberamt soll dieses Kind erlangen?“ Der Vers hebt einen Moment verantwortungsvoller Abwägung hervor: Macht wird nicht impulsiv verliehen, sondern mit Weitblick zum Wohl der Weltordnung bemessen.
