Vasiṣṭhāpavāha: Sarasvatī’s Diversion and Viśvāmitra’s Curse (वसिष्ठापवाहः)

तत्र देवा: सगन्धर्वा: प्रीता यज्ञस्य सम्पदा । विस्मिता मानुषाश्चासन्‌ दृष्टवा तां यज्ञसम्पदम्‌,उस यज्ञकी सम्पत्तिसे देवता और गन्धर्व भी बड़े प्रसन्न हुए थे। मनुष्योंको तो वह यज्ञ- वैभव देखकर महान्‌ आश्चर्य हुआ था

tatra devāḥ sagandharvāḥ prītā yajñasya sampadā | vismitā mānuṣāś cāsan dṛṣṭvā tāṁ yajñasampadam ||

Dort erfreuten sich die Götter samt den Gandharvas an der glänzenden Fülle des Opfers. Auch die Menschen standen staunend da, als sie jene gewaltige Opferpracht erblickten.
