अपश्यमाना राजानं पर्यवर्तन्त दंशिता: । राजेन्द्र! आपके योद्धा थोड़ा-सा भी अन्तर न देखकर कवच आदिसे सुसज्जित हो राजा दुर्योधनको चारों ओरसे घेरकर खड़े हो गये

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | apaśyamānā rājānaṃ paryavartanta daṃśitāḥ |

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: Als sie ihren König nicht sahen, wandten sich die gepanzerten Krieger um und sammelten sich neu. Ohne eine Lücke in der Ordnung zu lassen, standen sie und umringten König Duryodhana von allen Seiten—ein Akt der Treue auf dem Schlachtfeld, um ihren Herrn im Wirrwarr des Krieges zu schützen.
