Unrestrained Battle Description and Śakuni’s Rear Assault

अति सर्वाणि भूतानि ददृशु: सर्वमानवा: । उस महामनस्वी वीरकी फुर्ती, अस्त्र-संचालनका सुन्दर ढंग तथा पराक्रम--इन सबको सब लोगोंने सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंसे बढ़-चढ़कर देखा

ati sarvāṇi bhūtāni dadṛśuḥ sarvamānavāḥ |

Sañjaya sprach: Alle Männer sahen ihn als einen, der alle Lebewesen überragt—seine hochgemute Schnelligkeit, die anmutige Meisterschaft im Führen der Waffen und seine Tapferkeit. Die Szene macht deutlich, wie kriegerische Exzellenz, wenn sie vor aller Augen gezeigt wird, zum Maßstab wird, nach dem man einen Kämpfer unter dem moralischen Druck des Krieges beurteilt.
