इह वत्स्यति कल्याणी सत्कृता मम वेश्मनि । इति पार्था विजानीध्वमगदं वो<स्तु सर्वश:
iha vatsyati kalyāṇī satkṛtā mama veśmani | iti pārthā vijānīdhvam agadaṁ vo 'stu sarvaśaḥ ||
Vidura sprach: „Die edle Dame wird hier bleiben, in meinem eigenen Haus, in Ehren gehalten. Erkennt dies, o Söhne der Pṛthā. Möget ihr alle gänzlich frei von Leid und Bedrängnis sein.“
विदुर उवाच
Vidura models dharma through compassionate guardianship: when righteous people face adversity, one should offer respectful shelter and protection—especially to elders and those unfit for hardship—while also giving blessings for their welfare.
As the Pāṇḍavas are compelled toward forest exile, Vidura declares that their mother Kuntī will remain in his home with honor, and he instructs the Pāṇḍavas to accept this arrangement, blessing them to remain unharmed.
