निहिता भावयाम्ेवं राज्ञा हत्वा रणे रिपून् । सुवर्णबिन्दुभिश्षित्रा गुर्वी भारसहा दृढा,“मैं समझता हूँ, राजा वृषपववनि युद्धमें शत्रुओंका संहार करके वह गदा वहीं रख दी थी। वह गदा बड़ी भारी है, विशेष भार या आघात सहन करनेमें समर्थ एवं सुदृढ़ है। उसमें सोनेकी फूलियाँ लगी हुई हैं, जिनसे वह बड़ी विचित्र दिखायी देती है

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „So versteht man, dass der König, nachdem er im Kampf seine Feinde erschlagen hatte, jene Keule dort niederlegte. Mit goldenen Nieten besetzt, wirkte sie eindrucksvoll; sie war überaus schwer, fest und vermochte große Last und heftigen Aufprall zu ertragen.“
