Shloka 72

राहोर्विमुक्तं विमल॑ समग्रं चन्द्र यथैवा भ्युदितं तथैव । धर्मराजको युद्धस्थलमें आया हुआ देख समस्त प्राणी बड़ी प्रसन्नताके साथ उनका अभिनन्दन करने लगे। ठीक उसी तरह, जैसे राहुके ग्रहणसे छूटे हुए निर्मल एवं सम्पूर्ण चन्द्रमाको उदित देख सब लोग बड़े प्रसन्न होते हैं ।। दृष्टवा तु मुख्यावथ युध्यमानौ दिदृक्षव: शूरवरावरिघ्नौ

sañjaya uvāca | rāhor vimuktaṁ vimalaṁ samagraṁ candraḥ yathaivābhyuditaṁ tathaiva | dharmarājaṁ tu yuddhasthale āyātaṁ dṛṣṭvā samastāḥ prāṇinaḥ mahā-prasannatāyāḥ saha tam abhinanditum ārabdhāḥ | tathaiva yathā rāhu-grahaṇāt muktaṁ nirmalaṁ pūrṇaṁ candramasam uditaṁ dṛṣṭvā sarve janāḥ prasannā bhavanti || dṛṣṭvā tu mukhyāv atha yudhyamānau didṛkṣavaḥ śūra-varāvari-ghnau ||

Sañjaya sprach: „Wie der makellose Vollmond, vom Finsternisgriff Rāhus befreit, wieder aufgeht in ungeteiltem Glanz, so jubelten alle Wesen und begrüßten den rechtschaffenen König Yudhiṣṭhira, als man ihn auf das Schlachtfeld kommen sah. Und als man jene beiden vornehmsten Helden im Kampf erblickte—Bezwinger der feindlichen Streiter—richteten die Menschen, begierig zu schauen, ihre ganze Aufmerksamkeit auf sie.“
