कर्णनिधनवृत्तान्तनिवेदनम् | Reporting Karṇa’s Fall to Yudhiṣṭhira
बहुवृक्षलतागुल्ममेतद् वनमुपाश्रिता: । इति तान् ख्यापयामास तेभ्यस्तत्त्वंस कौशिक:
bahuvṛkṣalatāgulmam etad vanam upāśritāḥ | iti tān khyāpayāmāsa tebhyaḥ tattvaṃ sa kauśikaḥ ||
„Dieser Wald, dicht von vielen Bäumen, Schlingpflanzen und Sträuchern, ist ihnen zur Zuflucht geworden.“ So tat Kauśika es ihnen kund und legte die wahre Lage klar dar. Im Rahmen der Erzählung betont die Zeile, dass ein Führer oder Kenner des Dharma die Umstände offen aussprechen muss—zumal wenn andere Schutz gesucht haben—damit rechtes Handeln in voller Kenntnis gewählt wird, nicht aus Verwirrung oder Verheimlichung.
