Adhyāya 35 — Bhīmasena’s Counter-Encirclement and the Karṇa Engagement Escalation
सम्पादितं ब्रह्मविदा पूर्वमेव पुरोधसा । कृत्वा प्रदक्षिणं यत्नादुपस्थाय च भास्करम्
sampāditaṃ brahmavidā pūrvam eva purodhasā | kṛtvā pradakṣiṇaṃ yatnād upasthāya ca bhāskaram ||
Sañjaya sprach: Nachdem er das Erforderliche schon zuvor durch den königlichen Priester, einen Kenner des heiligen Wissens, hatte ordnen lassen, vollzog er dann mit sorgfältigem Eifer die Pradakṣiṇā (rituelle Umrundung) und stand in ehrfürchtiger Anwesenheit vor der Sonne. Die Szene betont das Vertrauen des Kriegers in geweihten Rat und in disziplinierte Hingabe, ehe er in gefährliches Handeln eintritt.
