Shloka 126

पूज्यमाने ततस्तस्मिन्‌ मोदते स महेश्वर: । सुखी प्रीतश्न॒ भवति प्रद्ृष्टश्वेव शड्कर:,उस लिंग अर्थात्‌ प्रतीककी पूजा होनेपर कल्याणकारी भगवान्‌ महेश्वर आनन्दित होते हैं। सुखी, प्रसन्न तथा हर्षोल्लाससे परिपूर्ण होते हैं

pūjyamāne tatastasmīn modate sa maheśvaraḥ | sukhī prītaś ca bhavati pradṛṣṭa iva śaṅkaraḥ ||

Wird jenes Sinnbild verehrt, so freut sich der glückverheißende Herr Maheśvara. Śaṅkara wird froh und gnädig zufrieden, als stünde er sichtbar vor den Augen — so zeigt sich, dass aufrichtige Hingabe die Gunst der Gottheit und inneres Wohlergehen dem Verehrer bringt.
