Spiritual worth is measured not only by birth or status but by sustained ethical action, austerity, and disciplined practice; these culminate in reverent worship of the Divine across time.
Vyāsa is praising the accumulated merits—birth, deeds, austerity, and yogic discipline—of the addressed person (and another), stating that through such merits the Divine has been honored by the speaker’s recurring worship of the sacred image in every age.
