Shloka 91

स तथा पूज्यमानस्ते पूर्वदेहे5प्यतूतुषत्‌ । पुष्कलांश्व वरान्‌ प्रादात्‌ तव विद्वन्‌ हृदि स्थितान्‌,विद्वन्‌! इस प्रकार पूर्वजन्मके शरीरमें तुझसे पूजित होकर भगवान्‌ शंकर बड़े प्रसन्न हुए थे और उन्होंने तुझे बहुत-से मनोवांछित वर प्रदान किये थे

sa tathā pūjyamānas te pūrvadehe 'py atūtuṣat | puṣkalān śubha-varān prādāt tava vidvan hṛdi sthitān ||

So geschah es: Als du ihn in einer früheren Verkörperung verehrtest, wurde er zutiefst erfreut. O Weiser, da gewährte dir der Herr Śaṅkara reichliche und glückverheißende Gaben—Gaben, die du lange im Herzen gehegt hattest—und zeigte, dass aufrichtige Hingabe, selbst über Leben hinweg, die rechte Frucht trägt.
