व्यास उवाच महान्तमेवमथ मां यं त्वं पृष्छसि विस्मयात्‌ । त॑ प्रवक्ष्यामि ते सर्व समाधाय मन: शृणु

vyāsa uvāca mahāntam evam atha māṃ yaṃ tvaṃ pṛcchasi vismayāt | taṃ pravakṣyāmi te sarvaṃ samādhāya manaḥ śṛṇu ||

Vyāsa sprach: „Was du mich in solchem Staunen fragst, ist wahrlich eine große Sache. Ich werde es dir vollständig darlegen; sammle deinen Geist und höre mit konzentrierter Aufmerksamkeit zu.“
