संजय उवाच
Right action in war is not mere impulse; it should be aligned with a higher intention grounded in dharma and sound strategy. Bhīma’s words are framed as arising from understanding Kṛṣṇa’s purpose, suggesting disciplined, purposeful action rather than uncontrolled vengeance.
Sañjaya narrates that Bhīma, after grasping Kṛṣṇa’s intent, speaks to Arjuna who has reached the battle’s forefront. This verse serves as a transition into Bhīma’s address, highlighting that the coming counsel is informed by Kṛṣṇa’s plan.
