प्रववर्ष महाकायो द्रुमवर्ष नभस्तलात् । तदनन्तर अन्तरिक्षमें उछलकर वह विशालकाय राक्षस प्रलयकालके मेघकी भाँति गर्जना करता हुआ आकाशशसे वृक्षोंकी वर्षा करने लगा

Sañjaya sprach: Der riesenhafte Kämpfer ließ vom Himmel einen Regen aus Bäumen niedergehen. Dann sprang der gewaltige Rākṣasa in die Lüfte; brüllend wie eine Wolke zur Zeit der Weltenauflösung, schüttete er aus der Höhe Bäume herab und steigerte so den Schrecken der Schlacht.
